[paragraph extra=””]In June 2016 we began demolishing our old building to make way for a brand new youth centre. Half way through the main contractor entered a CVA and became insolvent. We had secured the £1.6 million to complete the building but now, after an empty building site for 4 months, we have an amazing contractor who is willing to finish the project. However, the cost has increased £400,000 and we need to secure this unexpected additional income before the project is complete.
Our new principle contractor is ASI Ltd and their MD, Spencer Turner, is no stranger to free@last. Spencer has been involved with our Nechells Young Leaders project, helped lead our Hope Soap business and organises the fundraising challenge www.theoddballrun.com amongst other things. ASI are exceptionally passionate about our work and are looking forward to completing the building project with us.
We do have a slight shortfall of cash now though!! Watch the video to find out more…
